Office of Human Resources
The Office of Human Resources coordinates student employment programs across Hawaiʻi Pacific University, including Student Worker and Federal Work-Study positions. Human Resources partners with hiring departments, Financial Aid, and the Office of International Students and Scholars to support recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and employment eligibility.
Student employment opportunities are posted through Handshake, HPU's online career platform. Eligible students may apply for available on-campus positions and Federal Work-Study opportunities for which they qualify.
Students must complete all required employment and onboarding requirements before beginning work. This includes completing employment forms, providing acceptable documentation for Form I-9 employment eligibility verification, and submitting direct deposit information for payroll. Students should be prepared to provide original identification documents, such as a U.S. passport or a combination of a driver's license or state-issued photo ID and a Social Security card or birth certificate, along with banking information for direct deposit. Delays in submitting required documentation may postpone a student's employment start date.
