This section contains detailed information about the various Services and Amenities that are offered at Hawai'i Pacific University.
Cable Television
Cable TV service is available for installation in most rooms/lofts at Harbor Lofts. Residents are responsible for installation and monthly charges and contacting the cable company to discontinue service at the end of their time in that particular room. In the event of housing reassignment, the cost associated with changing cable service is assumed by the resident. Only one cable account may exist per room/loft. Harbor Lofts residents may contact Hawaiian Tel to set-up service. Executive Centre has basic cable included.
Upon setting up service with Hawaiian Tel, residents must notify Housing & Residence Life at housing@hpu.edu.
Dining at the Aloha Tower Marketplace: Pier Nine by Sam Choy
Located at Aloha Tower Marketplace, the ATM student dining facility is a relaxing environment for residents to enjoy an all you care to eat meal and socialize with others. Harbor Lofts residents are required to purchase a university meal plan. Meals not used within one week's time do not carry over into the following week or semester, and meals (except the semesterly guest meal allotment) cannot be used by anyone except the resident to whom they are assigned. Residents are prohibited from removing any items from the dining facility including food, condiments, dishware, flatware, etc. except for approved take-out circumstances and when sick. Those who want more information on how to get meals while sick may contact the Housing and Residence Life staff. Food must be consumed in Pier Nine and no outside food is allowed. More information about Pier Nine by Sam Choy along with menu items, dining hours, dining and meal plan policies and applicable rules, and up-to-date contact information, can be found at https://hpu.campusdish.com. Laundry
In consideration of other students, laundry should be taken out of the machines as soon as the cycle is completed. Misuse, vandalism, or use by non-residents will not be tolerated. Laundry equipment problems should be reported to both the company that maintains the machines using the WASH app (details can be found in each laundry room) and directly to the Area Coordinator or Community Advisor of the community. After use, please keep laundry doors and trays open to keep machines clean by allowing them to air out properly.
At the Harbor Lofts, the laundry room is located on the second floor of each building. Laundry room doors must be closed at all times; residents are not allowed to prop it open. Residents may use credit or debit cards to operate the washers/dryers. The machines may initially charge your card for more than the cost your laundry, but the final charge on your account will be the amount you used.
At Executive Center, the laundry room is located on the 3rd floor, Room 304. Machines are coin-operated.
Mail Service
All residents are issued a mail box key for their respective Housing location during their check-in process. At the end of the housing occupancy term, residents are responsible for notifying senders of their forwarding address. No mail can be forwarded from or held by the Office of Housing Residence Life after residents check out. All first-class mail received after the housing occupancy term will be returned to the sender; non-first-class mail will be discarded. Lost mail keys must be reported immediately to the Office of Housing and Residence Life and may be subject to replacement fees which vary by location.
Harbor Lofts resident mailboxes are located at the main entrance in building 4 at the Waterfront Lofts. Packages will be delivered to the Harbor Lofts package room. It may take one to two business days for the university mail services staff to process the package and make it available for pick up at the Harbor Lofts package room. Package pickup hours are posted at the package room. Residents will receive an email once packages are ready for pick-up; friends or other residents are not allowed to pick up mail for one another. There is no mail delivery on weekends and university holidays. Outgoing mail may be sent via the U.S. Postal Service mailbox.
Executive Centre resident mailboxes are located at the ground floor lobby level in the mailroom area at the bottom of the Bishop Street escalator. Parcel boxes are also located in the mail area. Packages small enough to fit in the parcel boxes will be left for resident pick up and the parcel box key will be placed in the resident's regular mailbox. Packages too large for the parcel boxes or packages delivered by a non-USPS carrier will be left at the security desk. The security desk will hold parcels for 24 hours. If not picked up, Savio Management will be contacted to pick up the package from security or it can be returned to sender.

Maintenance
For Harbor Lofts, if repairs are required in the room, log on to the HPU Housing portal (hpu.edu/HousingPortal) and complete a Maintenance Work Request form. In the case of a maintenance emergency, contact the hall/building CA or CA on Duty. With the exception of emergencies, maintenance requests will be performed between the hours of 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday - Friday.
For Executive Centre, in the event you have a maintenance issues or internet/WIFI/cable problem, please visit https://www.saviomanagement.com/hpu and submit a Fixit Request. Fixit Requests are checked Monday through Friday during regular business hours. In the case of a maintenance emergency, contact Executive Centre Building Security
Parking
For general parking information, go to www.hpu.edu/housing and click on "Commuter Services." Parking options at Aloha Tower Marketplace, downtown Honolulu, and Hawaii Loa campus are provided. Parking at any location is at the student’s own risk; make sure you have appropriate vehicle insurance to address damage and theft incidents.
Harbor Loft residents who have a moped may park at designated moped parking locations at Aloha Tower Marketplace (ATM). For those with vehicles, go to https://eliteparking.net/alohatower/ for parking options at ATM.
For Executive Centre residents, contact housing@hpu.edu on how to contact the property managers about parking options and fees.
Storage
Due to limited space on campus, personal storage is not available. Students should plan ahead by arranging for storage of their belongings off campus or bringing their belongings home with them at the end of their occupancy term.
Vending Machines
Beverage vending machines are available at ATM for your convenience. If one malfunctions or needs to be refilled, call the number on the machine and please notify the Area Coordinator or Community Advisor of the community.
Harbor Lofts Grill Area
There are grills on the ATM Lanai – Blue Pavilion for the use of residential students and the HPU community. The cooking area can be used on a first-come, first-served basis and are not able to be reserved except for large events. If you decide to use the area, you are responsible for the clean-up of the area after use. Use of the grills is a privilege and access can be restricted for irresponsible use of the grills.
Wireless Connectivity at HPU
HPU has wireless access available to the university community. In order to access the wireless network, students must first create a wireless account through the MyHPU Portal. Problems with connecting and other issues should be reported to ITS via phone (808-566-2411) or email (help@hpu.edu). At Executive Centre, residents will receive wireless network information at move-in.
