Student Activities

The Office of Student Activities develops and implements programs, activities and services that promote, support and enhance students’ co-curricular experiences at HPU. The Student Activities team collaborates with various departments to engage students and foster community life and spirit. Student Activities strives to:

  • Offer a diversity of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and programs that enhance the student experience and complement the academic experience (e.g., campus traditions, weekend activities, health and wellness opportunities, leadership development sessions, diversity and inclusion events).

  • Foster a sense of place by designing student experiences that connect students to Hawai‘i, and extend their learning and relationships in the greater community.

  • Provide spaces such as Sharky's Cove for students to participate in weekly organized activities, play games with friends, and relax while on camps.

  • Support and advise Student Government Association (SGA), Campus Activities Board (CAB), and Registered Student Organizations (RSOs).

  • Support first-year programs that help new students acclimate to university life such as new student orientation, Be My Guest (take your professor out for coffee),
